New York, NY, January 25, 2016 – Liquid Technology, an Inc. 5000 IT asset disposition (ITAD) company and one of the Top 100 Businesses in New York-Northern New Jersey-Long Island, NY-NJ-PA, announces that it has recently acquired certification through the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) AAA Certification Program.
NAID AAA certification is the most important certification in the data destruction industry. In order for a member of NAID to become AAA certified, NAID must verify the provider’s qualifications through a comprehensive series of scheduled and unannounced audits. Additionally, if a NAID member operates in multiple locations, each of its locations must pass the audit phase in order the locations to become certified.
This rigorous process is conducted by NAID certification auditors to ensure that the provider’s protocols adhere to the numerous laws and regulations put in place to protect confidential customer information. These include PCI compliance specifications, HIPAA Security Rules, the FACTA Red Flags Rule, and the FACTA Final Disposal Rule, among others.
“Liquid Technology is extremely proud to be honored with AAA certification by the National Association for Information Destruction,” says Steve Sidwell, Liquid Technology’s Senior Vice President of Technology & Compliance. “Our organization has been a member of NAID for quite some time and since the start of our membership, our operational protocols have been reliably based on NAID’s high standards. This recognition is validation that we’re providing our clients with the absolute highest level of data security and we couldn’t be more pleased.”
NAID is the standard-setting body for the information destruction industry. Its AAA certification program was developed by information security professionals and today, it is recognized by thousands of private and governmental organizations around the world.
“By achieving NAID AAA Certification, Liquid Technology has actually done a great service for their customers,” says NAID CEO Robert Johnson. “Because the program’s rigorous scheduled and surprise audits verify compliance with all relevant data protection regulations, it goes far beyond simply providing peace of mind. It actually fulfills the customer’s legal due diligence requirements.”
Liquid Technology, in addition to earning its recent NAID AAA certification, is also a recipient of e-Stewards 2.0 and R2:2013 certifications. The ITAD provider is also ISO 14001 certified and OHSAS 18001 certified.
